Bhuban Pahar Sees Huge Crowd on Maha Shivratri

Silchar: On the occasion of Maha Shivratri, devotees from across the Barak Valley and Assam gathered at Bhuban Pahar to offer prayers to Lord Shiva. The sacred site saw a large turnout as people from various regions visited to mark the auspicious day.

To oversee the safety and security arrangements, Cachar Police officials, led by SP Cachar Numal Mahatta, visited Bhuban Pahar early in the morning.

Devotees Gather at Bhuban Pahar for Shivratri Celebrations

Bhuban Pahar, located in Amraghat of Krishnapur in Cachar district, is a popular pilgrimage spot for devotees of Lord Shiva. Although the hilltop temple is not widely known, it attracts thousands of devotees each year during Maha Shivratri. The location is accessible via the Krishnapur road.

Each year, an estimated 6 to 7 lakh devotees visit the site during the festival. The hilltop location offers not only spiritual solace but also a stunning view of the natural beauty that surrounds Bhuban Pahar.
