BVCL Employee Died in Road Accident Near Hailakandi on Eid Eve

Silchar: In an unfortunate event, 43-year-old Mansur Alam Laskar lost his life in a tragic road accident in Hailakandi while returning home on the eve of Eid-Ul-Fitr.

He was traveling with his family on a bike when the accident occurred. Mansur Alam Laskar, an employee of Barak Valley Cements Limited (BVCL) and a resident of Rongpur, under Katlichera Police Station.

He was struck from behind by a Tata Magic truck on National Highway 6 (NH6) near Bauarghat Bazar, on the outskirts of Hailakandi town.

The force of the collision threw him onto the road. It has left him with severe head injuries and excessive bleeding.

Locals immediately informed the Police and taken him to Hailakandi Civil Hospital in an ambulance. However, upon arrival, the doctor attended him declared him dead.
