Authorities Remove Illegal Materials on Silchar’s Sadarghat Road
Silchar: On Monday, the District Administration of Cachar and Silchar Municipal Board jointly conducted an eviction drive. The eviction is aimed at removeing the unauthorized materials from public spaces along Sadarghat Road. The drive led by Executive Magistrate Shri Masi Topno, ACS, with the aim of clearing the public space illegally occupied by sand, bricks, and stones.
The primary goal of the drive was to improve safety, remove traffic congestion, and enforce urban regulations. Along the Sadarghat Road, extending from Gopalganj to Janiganj. The authorities focused on ensuring the area remained free from illegal obstructions that could hinder traffic. Illegal materials on public spaces create potential disturbance to the public.

During the operation, owners of illegally stored materials instructed to remove their items from public spaces and roads. Some individuals were fined for violating rules by storing personal materials without the proper permissions, which contributed to traffic disruption.
Cachar District and Silchar Municipal Board Launch Eviction Drive to Tackle Traffic Congestion
A team of Silchar Municipal Board and the Cachar District Administration monitored the eviction drive to ensure its smooth execution. Both teams emphasized the importance of following urban rules and regulations for a cleaner, and safer Silchar town.
