Cachar Police Make Significant Arrests in Anti-Theft Operation Across Silchar
Silchar: In a major crackdown on crime, Cachar Police arrested 21 individuals during a 24-hour special search operation conducted in Silchar. The operation, led by three teams, targeted several key areas including Rangirkhari, Rangpur, Malugram, Ghungoor, and the National Highway Point.
Among those arrested was a teenage, the main suspect in a series of thefts that have been occurring throughout Silchar. Authorities linked this individual to multiple theft cases in the area. The police successfully recovered several valuable stolen items, including LED TVs, gold bracelets, smartphones, keypad phones, heavy-duty water pumps, copper wire, pipes, and an E-rickshaw.
Cachar Police Crack Down on Theft, Arrest 21 in 24-Hour Operation
Cachar Superintendent of Police, Numal Mahatta, stated that the operation was aimed at addressing the growing number of thefts in the town. He confirmed that the arrested individuals would be further investigated after being presented in the District Court.
