Major Drug Bust: Cachar Police Seize YABA & Heroin

Silchar: Cachar Police have made a significant breakthrough in their fight against drugs trafficking. Cachar Police seized narcotics worth ₹14 crore in Ramprasadpur, Cachar.

Acting under the jurisdiction of Dholai Police Station, officers intercepted a vehicle carrying a large quantity of drugs.

During the operation, police recovered 40,000 YABA tablets and 260 grams of heroin. Cachar Police has arrested one individual involved in the trafficking.

14 Crore Worth Drugs Seized in Cachar Police Operation

As part of their intensified efforts, Cachar Police are conducting daily night patrolling across multiple locations in the district to curb illegal activities.

The Cachar Police department has reiterated its commitment to combating the drugs syndicate in the valley and ensuring a safer community.

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Social Media to share about this incident. He further praised Assam Police operations against Drugs trafficking in the valley.

He ensures that Assam is committed to fight against the illegal activities in the state.
