Silchar: On Tuesday at around 5 PM, five passengers were severely injured in an accident in Digharkhal. The accident occurred due to a collision between a moving car and a parked truck near the Digharkhal MVI check gate.
Among the injured, three are women and two are men. According to reports, the accident occurred due to heavy traffic congestion on NH6.
Heavy traffic congestion led to a truck being parked on the road. The car on losing control, crashed into the parked truck.
After the incident, the truck driver, with the help of local residents, immediately rushed the injured passengers to Kalain Hospital. Upon receiving the information, Ghumrah Police swiftly arrived at the accident spot.
Police has cleared the traffic congestion by removing the damaged car. Authorities are currently investigating the matter for further details.
