CM Sarma Lays Foundation for Critical Care in Civil Hospital Silchar

Silchar: The foundation stone for a 50-bedded Critical Care Block at S.M. Deb Civil Hospital, Silchar, was laid on Tuesday in the presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and other ministers from Barak Valley.

The new facility aims to significantly improve emergency and critical care services in the valley.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Minister Sarma reaffirmed his government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure across Assam.

He emphasized that the upcoming critical care unit would provide advanced medical facilities and play a vital role in addressing the healthcare needs of the people in the district.

50-Bed Critical Care Unit Coming to Civil Hospital Silchar

The project marks a major step forward in the government’s efforts to upgrade healthcare services.

Once operational, the facility is expected to enhance the capacity of the Civil Hospital in Silchar to handle complex medical emergencies and offer critical care.

Local ministers and health officials also expressed optimism that the new infrastructure would contribute to improvements in healthcare services in the valley.

The Critical Care Block is part of the broader state initiative to boost healthcare accessibility and quality for all.
