Father and Son Killed in a Tragic Road Accident in Hailakandi
Silchar: On Thursday at 12:00 PM, in a devastating road accident, Saleh Ahmad Laskar and his only son, Danish Ahmed Laskar, met with an accident in Nishchintapur village of Hailakandi. Both the son and father have lost their lives in the tragic incident.
Father Saleh Ahmed was bringing his son home from school when a tipper truck (dumper) struck them, resulting in the death of both the father and his only son. Father could not return home from school with his son after a tipper hit them. Chaos engulfed the area.
According to the reports, the funeral prayers for the father and son will held together at 8:30 PM, in Nishchintapur village.

Victim Saleh Ahmad Laskar is the brother of former GP president Gule Ahmed Laskar of Nishchintapur.
As per the available reports, the total number of road accident/ traffic deaths in India is about to cross the mark of 2,50,000 by the year 2025. There is an urgent need to recognize the worsening situation in road accident deaths and injuries and need to take an appropriate action.
