The demands of the protesting workers include the regularisation of NHM employees through a recruitment procedure to fill both existing and newly created vacancies. Furthermore, they are seeking the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission to ensure fair salary structures and better financial security.

The association is also urging the government to enforce the Supreme Court’s 2013 verdict (213/2013). It mandates ‘Equal Pay for Equal Work’, to address the wage disparity among healthcare workers.
The protest continues to put pressure on the authorities, with healthcare services remaining partially disrupted.
