Silchar Flyover Construction to Begin Soon, Says CM Sarma

Silchar: Long-awaited demand for flyover in Silchar is about to fulfill said CM Sarma. Construction of the Silchar flyovers from Capital Point to National Highway and from Ramnagar to Capital Point will commence soon.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that work on the Silchar flyover will begin shortly. He assured residents that he will personally monitor the progress of development projects in Silchar.

During his visit to Silchar on Tuesday, CM Sarma laid the foundation stone for a ₹24 crore Critical Care Block at Silchar Civil Hospital. He also laid the foundation for the new Circuit House in Silchar. Also, participated in the Golden Jubilee celebration of T.R. Phookan Higher Secondary School.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to balanced regional development, the Chief Minister stated that these initiatives will significantly accelerate the growth of the Cachar district in coming days.

CM Sarma also addressed the unity between the Brahmaputra and Barak Valleys.

He said, “Gone are the days when there was discontent between the people of the Brahmaputra Valley and the Barak Valley. Our government has ensured equal growth in both regions. With classical language status granted to both Assamese and Bangla, both communities have received equal respect.”
