Silchar Youth Goes Missing at Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj
Silchar: In a distressing incident, a young man from Silchar, Assam, has gone missing during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The missing individual has been identified as Surajit Roy, a resident of Kuarpar in Meherpur, Silchar.
According to the available reports, Surajit Roy traveled to Prayagraj on 6th February 2025 to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela along with his friends. On 8th February 2025, after taking a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, he went missing while returning.
Authorities have launched a search operation to locate him. Further details are awaited as efforts continue to trace his whereabouts.

Few days before a businessman from Hailakandi and the owner of Om Sweets died in the Maha Kumbh Stampede. The unfortunate incident took place during the Mauni Amavasya holy dip at the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. According to the available reports, Niti Ranjan Paul was immediately rushed to the ICU but succumbed to his injuries.
