Truck Owners’ withdrawn protest after govt’s promise of repair work on national highway road

Truck Owners’ withdrawn protest against the poor road condition after Govt’s assurance on repairing Aizawl to Silchar national highway.

Silchar: On Friday 6:30 PM, Mizoram Truck Owners’ Association (MTOA) called off protest after govt’s intervention and reassurance on repairing the worst-affected Kawnpui to Khamrang portion on Aizawl to Silchar national highway, MTOA informed in a statement.

Also, Mizoram Truck Owners’ called off protest against the poor road condition along the Aizawl to Silchar National Highway after govts promise on undertaking repair work.

Mizoram Truckers’ called off protest after govt’s assurance on repair work

On Thursday 7AM morning, trucks carrying essential goods and commodities halted operations on Aizawl to Silchar national highway due to the poor road condition on the critical portion. However, officials assured that oil tankers and trucks carrying cooking gas were operating smoothly.

Govt authorities have also ensured that proper measures will be taken on Aizawl to Silchar National Highway connecting Mizoram with Assam, MTOA mentioned in a statement.
