Silchar: The Cachar District committee of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has organized an Amrit Snan in Silchar on the eve of Maha Shivratri. It is organized for the devotees unable to take a holy dip at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
To offer devotees a spiritual experience similar to the Maha Kumbh, the VHP committee has brought the sacred water from the Triveni Sangam. The holy dip was inaugurated on Tuesday evening with a ‘Sandhya Aarti’ and various religious ceremonies.
Silchar VHP Organized Amrit Snan in Barak River Bank ahead of Maha Shivratri
The ritual bath is being conducted at the banks of the Barak River, near the Kali Mandir in Gangapara, Rangpur. The venue has been adorned with saffron flags, images of Lord Shiva, and mandaps to create a divine atmosphere.
The Amrit Snan commenced on February 26 at 9 AM and will continue for the next two days. The VHP committee has extended an open invitation to all devotees to participate in this sacred event.
